Thank you to Kenyon College. They specified that I could not graduate without any art credits. In my Senior year I took, Drawing, Color and Design and Painting. I LOVED IT. My father told me I could not be an artist. No money to be made and not good enough.
I went to business in NYC making money for artists and creators as an Agent. They made a lot of money from art and I thought - it’s time to try.
A substitute Art Teacher job opened up in the Bronxville High School. With delight I told the students - You CAN be an Artist! Go for it. And, many of them did. I was a business woman with a passion for painting and a suburban mom with two amazing daughters. That chapter was very creative and enriching.
Another decade (or two) passed and it is my privilege to share paintings and products I enjoy making now, - at last! I hope you find your creative paths too.
